Summary/Abstract: In contrast to the successful establishment of the system of international organizations and institutions in the field of finance and trade, with the objective to eliminate or reduce obstacles to the free movement of goods, capital, labor, technology and information, international community has not been able to establish a mechanism for increased participation of less developed countries in world income, especially for those countries that are not able to gain significant market share in the global division of labor and world income. Along with the changes in industry and export of industrial products, there have been changes in employment within individual countries, which is the result of technological progress and changes in the overall economic activity, with a significant presence of the services sector in the creation of a social product. The paper will present various aspects of the influence of contemporary trends on the movement and development of the world economy.
