TRAINS TILTING TECHNIQUES

Summary/Abstract: The objectives of this paper are tilting trains, tilting trains are currently used in all developed countries around the world. Tilting trains have been used on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2016 on the Sarajevo-Banja Luka route, the trains that are used are called Talgo trains. Tilting trains achieve significantly higher speeds compared to other rail vehicles that pass through a curve at a certain speed. In the case of tilting trains, the pantograph must remain in a vertical position with a certain pressure on the contact network, which is achieved with special supporting pillars within the train structure itself.
