Summary/Abstract: The economy and modern media are respectable factors in the functioning of every work. The aim of this paper is a meaningful and competent research of important postulates of economic trends and media engagements in the modern global community. This is essential in the current context of the global economic crisis. Traditional and postmodern means of informing have a first - class role in creating public opinion and the overall social environment. Their influence is often contradictory in the context of the interests of political elites. These retrograde flows, along with permanent conficts, are dramatically manifested in the countries of the subregion Western Balkans. Negative implications are eliminated by adequate action of relevant entities at all levels of society.
