CONNECTING MACHINES AND DEVICES TO MORE EFFICIENT WORK AND BUSINESS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we deal with connecting things in the construction industry, which could provide it with more efficient business and competitive advantage. We also mention a small part of the research we conducted in 2021 on the part of construction companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We also list some research that has been conducted in some countries of the developed world. From a large number of technological solutions that could enable construction companies to work more efficiently, here we propose the introduction of the Internet of Things (IoT) because it is a new concept that is the basis of the fourth industrial revolution. By connecting things, machines, devices, and employees to the data warehouses on the appropriate computers, significant information can be provided for more efficient work and decision-making.
