Summary/Abstract: In the historical process, Turkish communities have used Gokturk, Uighur, Arabic, Cyrillic, Armenian, Greek, Syriac, Hebrew and Latin alphabets. The Greek alphabet was used in Anatolia, especially in Kayseri, Niğde, Nevşehir, Konya, Burdur, Isparta, Antalya, Kayseri, Manisa, Mersin, Karadeniz Ereğlisi, Tokat and some districts of Istanbul. These Christian Turks created a very rich culture and literature in the language called Karamanli Turkish. As far as can be ascertained, the first Turkish works written in the Greek alphabet appear in the 16th century. Since these Turks were Christians, they produced mostly religious and moral works. They also published dictionaries and grammars. These texts written in Karamanli Turkish are works that should be researched and analyzed because they shed light on the period in terms of speech features and the vocabulary of the texts. The subject of this study is a bilingual dictionary written in 1838. The dictionary is recorded in L.as.443 in the Bavarian State Library. The work consists of 56 pages and each page is organized in two columns. In the right column, Turkish words with Greek letters are indicated, while their Greek translation are given in the left column. In the study, firstly, a brief information about Karamanli Turks and the Greek alphabet used in the dictionary are given. In the analysis, phonetic events in the dictionary and other remarkable linguistic features of the work are evaluated. At the end of the study, the translation of the Greek dictionary into Latin letters is indicated.
