Summary/Abstract: Climate change is one of the most critical and pressing issues of both our time and the future. This systematic review analyzes the association between climate change and intergroup relations, adhering to PRISMA principles. A systematic search in WOS and SCOPUS yielded 27 papers meeting the inclusion criteria. The findings show that research on this topic generally focuses on major dependent variables in climate change, their social psychological antecedents in intergroup processes, and the consequences of climate change on group processes. The results reveal individual differences in climate change trust, support for climate policies, collective action, and environmentalism, which are influenced by various social psychological factors. How the climate crisis affects intergroup relations also depends on different factors, including uncertainty, intergroup inequalities, and commonality perception. This review takes a holistic view of the climate crisis and intergroup relations, offering recommendations to address key gaps in the literature.
