Summary/Abstract: Post-democracy is perceived as the undermining of the basic institutions of representation at the expense of the growing role of non-electoral institutions – pressure groups, citizen initiatives, supranational entities, including courts (expert, but not electoral), at the expense of citizen participation in the political process and of parliaments as an institution with direct incoming democratic legitimacy. Anthropological observation could confirm or refute its effects. This assumption is the point around which observations are unfolding - after „Dobbs“ in the USA and some decisions of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court in Bulgaria.
