Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes Strategic Planning as a complex and multidimensional phenomenon in which the processes, tools and approaches used by companies in their business are studied in order to achieve guaranteed growth and long-term profit. Nowadays, in the rapid changes in the business environment, companies have to adapt to new trends in order to ensure competitiveness on the market. Strategic planning is a process and therefore has inputs, activities, outputs and outcomes, using various analytical tools and techniques that create a positive impact on organizational performance. By achieving strategic goals, the company achieves its mission. Strategy is the way certain resources should be used in order to take advantage of circumstances and create the desired effects. Every company that wants to perform successfully on the market should have a suitable strategy adapted to achieve the set goals.
