Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the Berlin model of adapting a child to a preschool institution and its potential application in preschools in the Republic of Srpska. The current Law on Preschool Education in the Republic of Srpska, as well as the Preschool Education Program, do not address this important issue. This work aims to highlight the necessity of planning the adaptive period and its integration into the Work Program of preschool institutions in the Republic of Srpska.
