Summary/Abstract: The article is a linguistic analysis of the speech of the Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia on 10.04.2024 in connection with the anniversary of the Smolensk catastrophe. The author referred to theoretical issues in the area of persuasiveness of political communication. The text takes into account the political and social context of the speech and proves the deep polarization of the Polish political scene.
