Summary/Abstract: Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process that enables us to effectively acquire and apply social and emotional skills. It focuses on understanding and managing emotions, setting positive goals, and making responsible decisions. More and more research shows that social-emotional skills are fundamental for personal development, learning, and socialization (Gardner, 2004; Goleman, 2011; Lemberg, 2013). They contribute to the healthy growth of students in an inclusive learning environment. In the SEL process, students enhance and apply both social and emotional skills in specific situations to confidently manage their emotions, set goals, make decisions, and establish positive and healthy relationships for coexisting with others. These skills are the result of growth, which extends from childhood to maturity, and depends on teachers to encourage their meaningful use. The article aims to highlight the importance of SEL in the educational process, as well as to provide anyone working towards improving the quality of education and the holistic development of students with guidelines for its effective integration into the classroom. The focus is on various aspects of SEL, as well as strategies and methods that will contribute to its implementation in the educational process and environment.
