Summary/Abstract: The article presents an escape classroom "Locked in the library", which is implemented with 2nd grade students whose mother tongue is different from Bulgarian. The goal is to provoke the students' desire to develop their linguistic and digital competences, by involving them in various activities that improve their level of mastery of the Bulgarian language, to increase their motivation for learning and to be able to develop and show their potential and creativity . In the realization of the set goals, approaches such as STEAM, "Learning through experience" and "Learning through play" are applied, through which the student learns actively: observing, exploring, experimenting, explaining, and not just memorizing and reproducing information. To optimize time and personalize didactic materials, in the process of creating the escape classroom: "Locked in the library" artificial intelligence - Chat GPT was used.
