Summary/Abstract: Experts in behavioral science believe that all factors capable of stimulating a person can be addictive; and whenever a habit turns into a chore, it can be considered an addiction. They also believe that there are both many similarities and differences between the diagnostic symptoms of chemical and behavioral addiction (Poikolainen, 2023). Growing evidence suggests that women’s and men’s experiences of recovery may also differ. Recovery from addiction is not linear and is a multifactorial and long-term process. The aim of the article is to characterize different approaches to the problem of addiction and therapy for women and men.
