International Migrations in the Programs of the Polish Sociological Congresses before and after 2004

Summary/Abstract: The topic of the article is the analysis of the programs of the National Sociological Congresses in the years 1990–2022 in terms of the presence of migration issues. The programs of 11 congresses were analysed. After Poland’s accession to the EU in 2004, a strong increase in interest in international migration is becoming more and more visible. However, as time passes and subsequent congresses take place, the subject of migration changes from issues related to the outflow of people from Poland to issues related to the influx of foreigners into Poland.
