Summary/Abstract: The aim of this text is to discuss the issue of accessibility in video games and its history concerning players with visual impairments. The adopted perspective focuses on in-game solutions. Since 2010, there has been rapid development in accessibility options in games, driven by changes in U.S. legislation. This paper pays particular attention to the challenges faced by visually impaired players during gameplay, as well as the solutions proposed by game developers to address these issues.
