Summary/Abstract: The validity of the popular expression “a talented person is talented in everything” has been repeatedly confirmed by the Russian intelligentsia. Another striking example is the biography of Vladimir Aleksandrovich Godlevskiy, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Fundamental Physics and Nanotechnology at Ivanovo State University, to whom the presented article is dedicated. Its authors pay attention not only to the achievements of V. A. Godlevskiy in science, educational, methodological and teaching work, but also to his contribution to the art of music and poetry. The article creates an image of a multifaceted, talented “symphonic” personality, which is of interest not only from the point of view of the professor’s biography, but for intellectual studies in general. Indeed, using the example of V. A. Godlevskiy and his poems, we can observe certain processes in the development of the Russian intellectual community and its mentality in the XXI century.
