Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the perception of the Ivanovo regional identity in the post-Soviet intellectual space. It is emphasized that for correct use of concepts «the Ivanovo collective farmers» and «Sveta from Ivanovo» it is necessary to consider historical features of the Ivanovo region.
