Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the phenomenon of populism in the 2023 parliamenta-ry campaign. Its aim is to show populist demands and ways of imposing the image ofa populist on a political opponent. The populist discourse was discussed chronologically andaccording to the criterion: opposition – government. Populist demands of groups belongingto the so-called democratic opposition and the United Right. The analyzed discourse, inc-luding populist demands, was framed in the realities of exercising and striving to main-tain power and attempts to transfer it. The article substantiates the claim that in order tocreate a „populist campaign atmosphere”, not only populist demands are necessary, but alsodiscourse control, i.e. imposing the image of being a populist on the opponent. For such anatmosphere” the emergence of active and passive populist strategies is necessary.
