Summary/Abstract: Contemporary art develops within an extremely rapidly evolving landscape, where paradigm and methodology changes are very dynamic. This is the context where technology plays an essential role, reshaping artistic practices, aesthetics and the relationship between the artist and the public, as well as the relationship with cultural institutions and museums, but also with the art market, in general. The study explores the interaction between contemporary art and new technologies, examining how new technological tools such as digital media, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and social media have transformed artistic production. Analyzing key examples and theoretical frameworks, we aim to identify the methodology by which technology transgresses the status of a mere tool for artists, becoming a fundamental component of the contemporary art paradigm.
