Summary/Abstract: The present intervention represents an extended approach relative to the beginnings of printing and books in the Romanian extra-Carathian space. The author organized his historiographical approach in the following subchapters: 1. The origins of printing in Wallachia and Moldova; 2. The evolution of printing and the culture of printing; 3. Printing with musical notes; 4. The beginning and evolution of flyer printing; 5. The beginning and development of image printing; 6. The beginnings of the production of periodicals and newspapers; 7. Book and print for the Orthodox of the Ottoman Empire.
