Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the archive documents related to the construction of the building of the Romanian River Navigation Agency in Braila. Part of the modernized port infrastructure, completed in the first decade of the 20th century, the building was founded in 1906.The tender was won by the entrepreneur Virgil Halaceanu, an architect from Iasi. The stages of construction, the improvements made during the development of the project by the engineer Ion Vidrașcu, the representative of the Braila Hydraulic Service, the beneficiary of the work, the difficulties involved, the extension of the execution deadlines are presented. Although it was supposed to be ready in March 1907, the building of the Romanian River Navigation Agency was provisionally accepted on February 8, 1908, and the final acceptance, after a one-year guarantee, was made on April 7, 1909.
