Summary/Abstract: ”The administrative-disciplinary responsibility of the public official, in the digital era” aims to analyze that part of the legal responsibility that occurs in the case of committing a disciplinary offense, in the sense of the violation by dignitaries, public official and their assimilations, of their official duties and the mandatory rules of conduct provided by law. Along with patrimonial, contraventional and criminal liability, the administrative-disciplinary liability of the public official completes the picture of public official liability. The administrative-disciplinary liability of the public official is established in compliance with the principle of adversariality and the right to defense and is subject to the control of administrative litigation courts, under the law. The administrative-disciplinary responsibility of the public official is carried out through the disciplinary commissions whose creation, organization and functioning, as well as the composition, attributions, reporting method and disciplinary procedure are provided in annex no. 7 of the Administrative Code, introduced by normative act no. 63/2019 and supplemented by Law no. 153/2021. The digital age has brought new challenges to attracting this type of liability, and the legislation is trying to keep up with the recent wishes of the computerization period.
