Summary/Abstract: The article aims to analyze the impact of class affiliation on political preferences in the 2023 parliamentary elections in Poland. We propose a modern framework for class analysis incorporating economic, social, and cultural factors. Based on the Polish National Election Study (POLNES) data, we demonstrate that social classes – working, middle, and upper – differ significantly in their political choices. The working class mainly supports Law and Justice (PiS), a party with a social program that addresses their needs. In contrast, the upper class favors the Civic Coalition (KO), a party that advocates for liberal policies aligned with their interests. We emphasize that class divisions remain a key factor in political polarization in Poland, even when other voting behavior determinants are considered. The article contributes to the literature on the impact of class stratification on politics, electoral preferences, and broader socio-political processes.
