Summary/Abstract: The present article takes a view of the challenges posed by the acquisition of the French medical terminology, that originate in the interferences between Romanian and French. We examine the sources of potential errors across categories such as phonetics, spelling, vocabulary and morpho-semantics. Our approach is a contrastive one, comparing the variations in noun genre and number, the differences in the use of adjectives, of trademark terms, and of prepositions. Our aim is not to point out such errors, but to indicate the most appropriate alternatives.
