HOSPITALITY AS A VIRTUE AND A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT FOR DIALOGUE AND MUTUAL ASSISTANCE

Summary/Abstract: Hospitality is a spiritual-psychological attitude, a virtue of character and an act of attention, care, help and acceptance. Hospitality is important for various sectors that collaborate. It is meeting the needs of a customer, worker, guest or friend with the understanding and welcoming 330 attitude of a salesperson, boss, host, friend. Hospitality is a pleasant and necessary condition for rapprochement and successful communication between both sides. The Greek word hospitality means affection or mercy for strangers. Çhristianity teaches us to be hospitable to the foreigner. The Apostle Peter encouraged his followers: Be hospitable to one another (1 Pet: 4:9) Hospitality brings people together. It leads to a desire to get to know your guests and to be open to them, which will lead to improved relationships. Hospitality reduces tension and creates conditions for understanding, getting to know each other and being of help to each other. This forms a favourable/ friendly environment for dialogue and cooperation.
