Summary/Abstract: In the following paper I’m proposing a phenomenological reflection on the problem of dwelling, as it is formulated in Martin Heidegger’s thought. Constructions are seen as a work of art that open up the space and create a place as well. These constructions allow us to authentically dwell. In the first chapter, I aim to present what it means to dwell in Martin Heidegger’s philosophy. I then propose a different approach to constructions, distinct from the examples Heidegger gives, namely “temple” and “bridge”. I argue that “chapel” is a suitable example of an authentic construction that allows us to dwell in the world in an authentic manner.
