Summary/Abstract: As a form of law enforcement, the application of law has experienced a long evolutionary process, correlated to the conception of its purpose and finality, since the entire activity of applying legal regulations, carried out by state bodies, is based on normative acts. The application of law continues the process of normative regulation of social relations, initiated by the creation of law, supplementing it with individual regulation, by establishing or concretizing the rights and obligations of law subjects, specifying their legal position in specific situations. Law enforcement represents one of the stages composing the mechanism of legal regulation of social relations.
