Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the articulation between the judicial reform carried out in Albania since 2016 and the respect of the European Convention on Human Rights, embodied in several judgments pronounced by the European judges on the matter. The author underlines that, notwithstanding certain dysfunctions noted, the vetting procedure is necessary given the high level of corruption in the Albanian judicial system.
