Summary/Abstract: In response to the negative effects of communism on Albanian industry, the government and parliament adopted several programs and projects to address the challenges facing the country, including increasing investment attractiveness. However, these projects were met with skepticism by citizens due to corruption issues and low levels of trust in public officials. The article provides an analysis of the legal framework for this regulation by international standards and jurisprudence, as well as the monitoring mechanisms to combat money laundering and the progress that has been made.
