Summary/Abstract: The change in the composition and functioning of the National Council of the Judiciary represents the real keystone of the institutional reform program of the new Polish government coalition, formed after the parliamentary elections of October 15, 2023, which aims to restore the independence of the judiciary and the Rule of law in Poland. The proposed study analyzes the content of the reform undertaken – which has not yet entered into force – in order to try to understand the political and institutional problems that Poland is currently facing.
