Summary/Abstract: The development of information technologies has enabled us to access personal bibliographies, to publish and to search them. As Georgije Magarašević said: “A personal bibliography is a picture of the life and work of distinguished ‘only noblemen’ in order to make it ‘more familiar to the people’, in the name of ‘the honor and benefit of the people’.” The creation of a personal bibliography is the result of research, listing items according to defined rules, classifying materials in accordance with the predetermined program, principles and goals of the work. Making it visible and accessible should be the goal of the individual and society as a whole.A personal bibliography is the subject of an individual’s creativity with the aim of listing and describing specific persons’ creativity, listing all works, published and unpublished. It can be conditioned by different needs, the perception of the creative work of a certain person within the defined domain of creativity. As an example, we can cite the website of the Library of Serbian Culture – Rastko, where we can find bibliographies of Borislav Pekić, Miodrag Pavić, Rastko Petrović, Mihajlo Pantić, Dejan Ajdačić, Miodrag Sibinović, Stojan Subotin and others. The website of the “Nikola Tesla” University Library in Niš is available and will provide us with information about 11 personal bibliographies. Since 1983, the library has established the practice of collecting and publishing printed bibliographies of its teaching staff. The website of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts does not provide the possibility to access the full text of bibliographies.
