MUSICAL SKILLS – VOCAL CULTURE TRAINING

Summary/Abstract: The present article is structured as an essay. It brings to attention a short part from the first chapter of the doctoral thesis. It starts with definition and operationalization musical skills in the manifestation of vocal culture and focuses on the hearing with direct reference to the musical hearing, the necessary element without which the audition cannot be achieved, the one that is the basis of the research. Rhythmic sense, melodic hearing, emotional sensitivity for music are important skills in the formation of vocal culture. We take in consideration the following: rhythm and melody are the first elements of music, the others are added at later stages to enrich and develop the musical language. Music cannot exist without human and his feelings, his interior. That is why musical sensibility is the third primary, fundamental and indispensable element of music.
