Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to show the conditions for taking up work and employment opportunities for deafblind people in Poland. The study is a report on research that the author carried out in 2022–2023 among deafblind people and people associated with the deafblind community (including a volunteer and a translator-guide). As part of them, 10 autobiographical narrative interviews were conducted. The deafblind people examined by the author experienced stereotypical perception and reluctance to employ them. The research results indicate the need to create vocational schools addressed exclusively to deafblind students. Both institutional and non-institutional support from the community is important in entering the labor market. The research is located within disability studies and deafblind studies.
