Summary/Abstract: At the Kyiv Book Arsenal, a unique project titled “Voices from the Frontier: New War Writing” was presented, featuring radio essays by Ukrainian soldiers and veterans. These personal stories, curated by Olena Huseinova, capture the raw emotions and reflections of those on the front lines. The essays, written and narrated by individuals like Vitaliy Kyrychenko and Oksana Ponomaryova, delve into themes of fear, memory, and survival. They also highlight the psychological and emotional challenges faced by soldiers, as well as their resilience and humanity. The project aims to amplify voices less heard, providing a platform for authentic experiences and perspectives. This initiative underscores the importance of storytelling in preserving the truth and fostering a deeper understanding of the war’s impact on individuals and society.
