Summary/Abstract: Every Tuesday and Sunday, pet owners flock to a nearby pet store for sprouted oats, a favorite treat for their animals. The war has reduced the frequency of deliveries, impacting the availability of this nutritious snack. Conversations with neighbors often revolve around the war, power outages, and the well-being of pets during air raids. The community shares photos and stories of their pets, providing comfort and solidarity. The author reflects on the stress experienced by her cockatiel, Hoko, during air raids and the challenges of caring for her. A recent illness in Hoko required urgent veterinary care, highlighting the difficulties of finding specialized treatment for exotic pets. The narrative also touches on the broader impact of the war on pets and their owners, emphasizing the mutual support they provide each other. The story concludes with a reflection on the resilience and adaptability of both humans and animals in times of crisis.
