Summary/Abstract: The bagpipe is one of the most beloved and characteristic folk musical instruments of Bulgaria. As we know, it is widespread not only in our country, but also in almost all of Europe, Asia and some parts of Africa under different names (in the United Kingdom it is called the Great Highland bagpipe, Border pipe, Irish small pipe, etc., in France - cornemous de Centre, busin, musset bresare, in Poland - koza, koziol, in Armenia - parkapzuk, in Georgia - shuvir, gudasviri, dankiyo, in Spain and Portugal - gaita (Ghaita), in Italy - dzamponya, in Russia - mih, shapar, etc., in Azerbaijan - tuluk, in Egypt - zukra and mezued, in Algeria - gaita, etc.).
