Summary/Abstract: Management in the field of the Green Deal in the European Union (EU) has become a pivotal goal in recent years as the region continues to prioritise sustainability and combat climate change. The EU has established ambitious goals to transition towards a greener and more sustainable energy landscape. This transformation needs strategic management practices that encompass various aspects of the sector. The aim of this article is to analyse the correlation between the variables X – the share of renewable energy in final energy consumption and Y – CO2 emissions. The paper assumes that there is a correlation between the variables studied. The study did not confirm this hypothesis for all EU countries, but only for a selected group. Due to the variables analysed, the countries were grouped using the k-means method, which made it possible to identify the leaders, middle countries and marauders of the Green Transformation.
