Summary/Abstract: The use of the Internet and social networks today play a significant role in people’s daily lives, shaping communication, culture and the way they connect with each other, communicate and get information. Their development has significantly influenced social dynamics and business models around the world. Within the promotional activities of cultural tourism, social networks and the Internet play an important role today, in such a way that both potential tourists and local residents can be informed about numerous contents, activities and services organized and provided by cultural tourism institutions. The subject of this paper is the analysis of the activities of institutions in the field of tourism on the internet, social networks and platforms with a focus on the development of cultural tourism, using the example of the city of Kotor. In this regard, two surveys were conducted: a survey in which tourists participated, and then an analysis of profiles on social networks and websites of institutions participating in cultural tourism in Kotor. The research results indicate that tourists searched social networks and websites in search of information about Kotor. Also, results show that the activities of institutions on social networks and websites are not sufficiently developed in terms of information availability, quality of information provided, data updates, etc.
