Summary/Abstract: The ability to self-regulate learning is a condition, a prerequisite for in-depth professional and practical training of students - future teachers. It allows even young specialists to navigate in a new environment, independently study, analyze and apply new information, to be adaptable and competitive. In this sense, the study of the essence and conditions under which this ability is stimulated in the learning environment is a step towards improving the learning process in higher education. The study in this article has a specific practical focus, namely: to study preferred cognitive strategies for self-regulated learning of students – future teachers. The results obtained will be reflected in subsequent planning of the learning environment.
