Impact of food industry on the environment in Lubelskie voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: Food industry enterprises, characterized by a high dispersion and fragmentation of business, have a significant impact on the level of pollutants emitted in Lubelskie voivodeship. A comparative analysis of statistical data for the years 2004 and 2008 was carried out, including especially: water use, air emissions, wastewater emissions and waste generation. In addition, there was analyzed the level and structure of proecological investments made by the food industry.
