Summary/Abstract: The topic of this study is the comparative interpretation of the history of philosophy in Hungary. It points on the fact that writing the history of philosophy was dealing with the issue of reception and creative reception since posing this issue by János Erdélyi in the 19th century. Some of these approaches remained on the level of classic, positivistic comparatistics and did not take into consideration intercultural connections in Hungary. Through a short case study (by presenting one of Pavel Hečko´s writings in Hungarian) does this study demonstrate typologic relations of both the Hungarian and Slovak philosophy of the 19th century.
