Summary/Abstract: Timur had stayed inside the Russian border for a short period of time after he defeated the khan of the Golden Horde Toktamısh and ruined the land of Golden Horde. Russian chronicles to show Russians power, claim that Timur was preparing for an expedition upon Moscow but could not dare and thus failed to make the expedition. Timur’s palace historians write in their books that Timur conquered Moscow in order to indicate that he captured all of Eurasia. However, in reality, neither Timur captured Moscow, nor he had a wish to make an expedition upon Moscow.
