Summary/Abstract: Our paper aims at highlighting the expressive values of some words and phrases selected from Traian Dorz’s volume of children poetry “Osana, Osana”. We will have in view semantic values of adjectives-epithets, as well as the stylistic potential of certain grammatical constructions, with implications on shaping such a special universe like childhood. In fact, it is well-known that poets do not necessarily create new words or new combinations of words, but their display in the right place can often create special assosiations in the artistic work. Beyond the simple materialisation of some more or less known significations, the presence of these elements in the lyrics from the above-mentioned book shed light on aspects related to the author’s perception of life, conveying, at the same time, connections with his vision on the relationship between man and the Divine, depicted in a complex, profound, integrative manner.
