Summary/Abstract: In the nowadays ruined church of Archangel Michael in village Shilkovtsi, near the town of Elena, the striking composition of the Last Judgement once occupied the eastern wall of the narthex. Today, the mural has been transferred to the Museum GIM Elena (Daskalolivnitsa) in the town of Elena. According to the signature written between the group of the righteous and the walls of Heaven, the composition is authored by the painters Zahariya and his son Kancho Tsanyuv from Tryavna, in 1873. Тhe Last Judgement in Shilkovtsi was created under a strong influence of two particular paper icons with the same theme.
