Parliamentary elections as a subject of evaluation (based on texts published on the websites wyborcza.pl and wPolityce.pl)

Summary/Abstract: The article presents issues concerning the valuation of the parliamentary elections held in Poland on October 15, 2023. The main purpose of the work is to identify the reasons for which elections are presented in the media as a value. At the same time, attention was paid to those images of political and social reality that directly or indirectly support a positive perception of them. This study was based on the assumption that the axiologization can occure in the thematic and stylistic plan. The material used for the analysis was excerpted from the Internet portals – wyborcza.pl and wPolityce.pl. The described examples prove that parliamentary elections are an important, positive phenomenon, valued mainly by positive statements. The so-called celebration of democracy has a significant impact on reality: it can bring key changes in many areas, such as the state of public finances, the rule of law, the extent of freedom or the atmosphere in the country.
