Summary/Abstract: The article represents several unpublished liturgical objects from Plovdiv that deserve special attention for the discussion on the relations between art and history. Based on the information from the dedicatory inscriptions on the objects and their artistic peculiarities, this study aims to demonstrate the importance of liturgical objects in reconstructing the biographies of two representatives of the Plovdiv elite in the first half of the 19th century: Georgios Konstantinou Kentintenoglou, a weaver of coarse wool textiles, and Antonios Komizopoulos, a merchant who emigrated to Russia at the beginning of the 19th century.
