Summary/Abstract: The study looks at a set of column bases found in situ in a medieval church. They are derivatives of the Attic type. Some of them are in quarry-state export form. The bases’ vertical grooves suggest they held in place slabs – a type of low partitioning between the naves used in Early Byzantine basilicas in Greece and on the Asia Minor coast, but not in Constantinople.
