Summary/Abstract: n the current paper is presented a synthesis on the cult of Victoria in the Roman province of Moesia Inferior, based on archaeological and epigraphical data. What stands out is the private character of the worship, dedicated to the goddess, and the close connection it had with the military and the administrative elite, represented largely by Romans and migrants from the West. A different picture is revealed by the finds in the hellenized poleis on the Black Sea Coast, where the character of the Roman goddess Victoria is mixed with her Greek counterpart Nike.
