Summary/Abstract: The article presents the process that led to the dissolution of the Military Information Services in 2006 and the establishing of the Military Intelligence and the Military Counterintelligence. At the same time, the article delves into the genesis and objectives of the Fourth Polish Republic. It discusses how the process influenced the shape of the military intelligence services in Poland. Moreover, the article describes the political dispute that accompanied the reform and presents conclusions drawn.
