Summary/Abstract: Digital reality translates into various areas of life. This also applies to digital games and their connection with moral formation. This obliges to address the issue of digital games in the catechetical message about the deadly sins in order to make the catechized aware of the dangers associated with improper functioning in the virtual world. School religious education at every stage of education provides for addressing issues related to the deadly sins. They should be discussed in the context of students’ real life situations, which makes it justified to expand the content with digital games and morally inappropriate behaviours related to them. Religious education and the catechetical message about the deadly sins are also the right place to expand knowledge and shape awareness of how pride, greed, impurity, envy, intemperance in eating and drinking, anger or laziness threaten children and young people who use digital games.
